After obtaining a degree in the performing arts, Helen Heraud completed an M.A « Assistant Director » course at the University of Poitiers in 2017. It was in a research workshop led by Isabelle Lamothe that Helen specialised in dance and began her collaboration with artists such as Emmanuelle Huynh for the show Ouverture(s) in 2015, Gaëlle Bourges for Forehead Against Forehead in 2016, or Mickaël Phelippeau for 22 in 2017. She continued working with Gaëlle Bourges on several performances of To My Sole Desire. Through a series of meetings and guided by her desire to explore other universes, Helen accompanied numerous artists including Yves-Noël Genod, whom she assisted on A Little Bit of Zelda in 2014 and Lessons in Theatre and Darkness in 2016 ; Marie Clavaguera Pratx for whom she was lighting director for the production Big Bang in 2017 ; Jean-Luc Verna, with whom she worked on lighting on the creation “Alors Carcasse” ; and Céline Agniel whom she also assisted on two creations : My Body / My Cage #2 and #3 in 2016 and 2017. Today, with the company « Crash Test » Helen has signed her first production, Justes, a performance based on the eponymous play by Albert Camus. An in camera in which she questions the place of the spectator and the consequences of his/her choices.
