Just Camilla

Story of Camilla is the name given to a painted panel that can be seen on the ground floor of the Museum of Fine Arts in Tours: it is the underpart of a wedding box, was painted in around 1460-1470 in Florence, and is part of a few NMRR (*National Museums Recoveries Register) works that the Museum of Tours houses. Between an historical study and choreographic game, Just Camilla creates a reconstitution of panels composed of at least four scenes: between a leak, wild childhood, amazon figures and epic battle, the imaginary and dances travel freely – bears, lion, stags and horses included– with a zest of Virgil.
