Born in Paris in 1984, Abigail Fowler trained at the École Supérieure des Beaux-arts d'Angers in Interior Architecture and then in Visual Communication, obtaining her DNSEP in 2010.During her studies, she worked with dancers at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine d'Angers, and then decided to train in stage lighting with contemporary dance lighting designers.She began her work as a lighting designer with creations by Vincent Thomasset, Madeleine Fournier and Jonas Chéreau, then worked as a lighting director at the Ménagerie de Verre in Paris. In 2012, she met Mickaël Phelippeau and designed the lighting for Pîle; she will continue to collaborate with him, notably on the portraits Lou, Ben&Luc, Juste Heddy, Françoise et Alice and soon Young Yellow Years. In 2013, she met Gaëlle Bourges, for whom she has been lighting designer for all shows and performances to date: The lock (fantasy figure wrongly attributed to Fragonard) ; A beautiful failure; To my sole desire(programmed as part of the Festival d'Avignon's "in" program in 2015); Lascaux ; Brow to brow ; The bath ; Warding off fear fear ; What you see ; (LAURA's gang) ; The banquet hall... For several years, she has also collaborated on lighting and set design with Volmir Cordeiro; François Chaignaud; Danya Hammoud; Vania Vaneau...
