Lucie Lataste is an actress, dancer, and multidisciplinary creator, with the unique distinction of being bilingual in French sign language. She holds a master's degree in philosophy of art, specializing in creative processes. Combining theory with practice, she is both an actress and a designer. She met Tiziana Arnaboldi in 2004 at the Teatrodanza in Ascona, Italian-speaking Switzerland, a company with which she worked as a performer and then as an assistant, an experience that led her on her quest for universal languages.

With a degree in LSF translation, she founded the DDS company in 2009. With her team, she adapts texts from the repertoire, combining sign language with dance: poetry, opera, classical texts, and contemporary writing. Today, ranging from choreography to acting, including a carte blanche at the FRAC d'Occitanie since 2015 for her winter performances, she continues her research into a form of theater that combines the energy of movement with the power of sign language. Recent collaborations: Denis Athimon, Zabou Breitman, Elise Vigneron, Gaëlle Bourges, the Théâtre de l'Argument & Galin Stoev for the adaptation of Illusions at the ThéâtredelaCité – CDN Toulouse.
