Lucie Lataste is an actress, dancer and multidisciplinary creator, with the specificity of being bilingual in French sign language. In 2002, she obtained a post-graduate diploma in the philosophy of art. Mixing theory and practice, she is both an actress and a designer. She met Tiziana Arnaboldi in 2004, at Teatrodanza, a company that supported her in her quest for universal languages. With a degree in LSF translation, she founded the DDS company in 2009. With her team, she adapts texts from the repertoire by mixing signs with dance: with the poetry of Boris Vian, the opera of Carmen, or Marguerite Duras' "Hiroshima, mon amour". Today, from choreography to acting to teaching sign dance at Toulouse Jean Jaurès University within the ETU (École de Théâtre Universelle), she continues her research towards a theater combining the energy of movement with the power of the sign. Latest collaborations : Denis Athimon, Zabou Breitman, Elise Vigneron, Gaëlle Bourges, le théâtre de l'Argument, Galin Stoev for the adaptation of Illusions at ThéâtredelaCité - CDN Toulouse.
