Olivier Toulemonde began devoting himself to electroacoustic music and improvisation in 1994, when he helped found the Collectif Ishtar (Bourg-en-Bresse), with whom he worked for over ten years. He now lives in Besançon, having lived and worked for several years in Brussels and Berlin.
Using a device made up of everyday sound objects, he practices improvisation in its freest form, in a work linked to listening, sound research and projection in space. He also composes sound pieces for choreographic creations (association Os/Gaëlle Bourges, Laure Terrier), for art videos (Muriel Toulemonde) and creates installations that bring into play the relationship between space and sound. He has also created numerous radio programs, notably for Arteradio, Deutschlandradio Kultur and the Atelier de Création Sonore Radiophonique in Brussels.
Olivier Toulemonde created the music for The beautiful indifference.
