Olivier Toulemonde has devoted himself to electroacoustic music and improvisation since 1994, when he helped found the Collectif Ishtar (Bourg-en-Bresse), with whom he worked for over a decade. He now lives in Besançon, after having lived and worked for several years in Brussels and Berlin.

Using a device made up of everyday sound objects, he practices improvisation in its freest form, in a work linked to listening, sound research, and projection into space. But he also composes sound pieces for choreographic creations (association Os/Gaëlle Bourges, Laure Terrier), for art videos (Muriel Toulemonde), and creates installations that explore the relationship between space and sound. He has also produced numerous radio creations, notably for Arteradio, Deutschlandradio Kultur, and the Atelier de Création Sonore Radiophonique in Brussels.

Olivier Toulemonde composed the music for La belle indifférence.
