Under the impetus of three former students from the dance department at Paris 8 University - Monia Bazzani, Carla Bottiglieri and Gaëlle Bourges - the association Os was founded in Paris in 2005. The initial aim was to create a group laboratory for "feedback" on the contemporary dance practices of each of the three founders: research workshops based on movement analysis and somatic techniques such as Body-Mind Centering, teaching, writing for various magazines, and so on. From 2009, Os has focused more fully on supporting the work of Gaëlle Bourges, whose work as a choreographer began some ten years earlier, and since then has supported the production, creation and dissemination of all her pieces, performances and other formats.
Gaëlle Bourges est artiste associée au TPM (Centre dramatique national de Montreuil – direction Pauline Bayle) de 2026 à 2028.
Elle a été artiste compagnon de la MCA (Maison de Culture d’Amiens) de janvier 2019 à juin 2024 ; artiste associée au Théâtre de la Ville (Paris) de septembre 2018 à juin 2023 ; artiste associée à L’échangeur – CDCN Hauts-de-France, Château-Thierry de 2019 à 2021, après avoir été artiste en résidence longue de janvier 2016 à janvier 2019 ; artiste compagnon au Manège, scène nationale de Reims, pour la saison 2018-19 ; artiste associée à la Comédie Valence – CDN Drôme-Ardèche, direction Richard Brunel, de 2017 à 2019 ; artiste associée au Centre chorégraphique national de Tours (CCNT) – direction Thomas Lebrun, de septembre 2016 à décembre 2018 ; artiste associée à Danse à tous les étages, scène de territoire danse en Bretagne, dans le projet Résodanse (« au bout du monde ! ») pour la saison 2017-18 ; artiste associée à la Ménagerie de verre, Paris, pour la saison 2016-17.
