Secret friends

There are many of them, they don't necessarily know each other, they may not even appreciate each other's work, but they're all together in the same exhibition: we're going to make the most of it, because we're starting to forget some of them, even though they all counted. So we're inviting them back - Flora Acker, Marion Adnams, Rachel Baes, Denise Bellon, Simone Breton, Claude Cahun, Leonora Carrington, Ithell Colquhoun, Lise Deharme, Maya Deren, Suzanne Duchamp, Germaine Dulac, Nush Éluard, Leonor Fini, Jane Graverol, Henriette Grindat, Violette Hérold, Valentine Hugo, Gladys Hynes, Georgette Magritte, Elise Müller, Mereth Oppenheim, Gisèle Prassinos, Sonja Sekula, Dorothea Tanning, Marie Vassilieff, Unica Zürn, Irène Zurkinden. See them, hear them, experience their work and their radicalism. That's what Françoise Pétrarque did: she followed in the footsteps of earlier women writers, studying and commenting on them in the hope of becoming their equal. We need to do the same.
