While we wait for the Netflix series depicting the epic story told by the Bayeux Tapestry, here is a show in episodes entitled William & Harold, which follows the story of the invasion of England by a certain William, Duke of Normandy.

It ends well then badly, or badly then well: it all depends on the point of view (English or French) you take. Unless it ends badly for everyone, plain and simple.

In any case, the tapestry will leave France for the British Museum in early 2026:
Our English friends will be able to decide the matter in their own way.
