I Have a Dream

By offering an unorthodox, almost heretical translation of Martin Luther King's famous "I Have a Dream " speech, Gaspard Delanoë, accompanied by his faithful translator Gaëlle Bourges, reinterprets this messianic text, heavily imbued with biblical references, in the light of French Cartesianism, secularism, and republicanism. He gives us a glimpse of what a French version of this text might sound like. In short, it is an I Have a Dream in French.
