Seeing Lascaux again

Revisiting Lascaux presents the four discoverers of the famous cave, aged between 13 and 18 at the time of their expedition in September 1940. But the cave here is not a faithful reconstruction, as can be seen today at the International Center for Cave Art in Montignac, in the Périgord region: it is made of stacked wool and cardboard panels. The lamps that light up the underground night are cell phones, and the animals are made of small plastic figures. It's enough to recreate an imaginary prehistory, with image makers and dancers with deer heads, but it also whets the appetite for knowledge.
