Lascaux

Lascaux delves deep into the cave's parietal art, discovered by a group of teenagers in 1940 in the Périgord Noir region: ancient paintings and engravings whose meaning escapes us - they're called "prehistoric" - and so much the better: it's like a guided tour of the cave, inaccessible since 1963 for conservation reasons following several microbial attacks. On entering, everything seems dark, as in the cave; the discourse is instructive, the choreographic score evanescent. When you leave, you don't know. You never know when prehistory will end.
