Lascaux

Lascaux delves into the cave art of the eponymous cave, discovered by a group of teenagers in 1940 in the Périgord Noir region: ancient paintings and engravings whose meaning escapes us—we call them "prehistoric"—and so much the better: it's like a guided tour of the cave, which has been inaccessible since 1963 for conservation reasons following several microbial attacks. Upon entering, everything seems dark, as if inside the cave; the narration is informative, the choreography evanescent. Upon leaving, we don't know. We never know when prehistory ends.
