What is the relationship between the nude and fur?
From La petite pelisse by Flemish painter Rubens in the 17th century to La Vénus à la fourrure by Austrian author Sacher-Masoch at the end of the 19th century, we still come across actress Dominique Sanda naked under her coat in Une chambre en ville, by French director Jacques Demy in 1982.
So we can follow these three tracks to pin down this postulate: in Europe, naked people in furs are exciting.
LOULOU tries this: to see if it's true or not.
But as Rubens is said to have conceived art as "a patient effort not to give consent to the order of the world" - and Rubens was far from an imbecile - Lou Cantor and Philippe Lebhar do the same: they wait as long as possible on stage not to give consent to the order of the world.
