Recasting

On the occasion of the creation of the show for all audiences LAURA’ s Gang by choreographer Gaëlle Bourges, the association Os proposed a series of workshops between women housed at the Emmaüs CHRS in Épinay-sur-Orge and CM1/CM2 children from the Jean Perrin school in Grigny, on the issue of the representation of women and racialized people in Western painting.

The project was conceived as a journey through the history of art, combining visits to the Musée d'Orsay, critical reflections, creative workshops, dance workshops, and the invention of a form in which adults and children could "replay" - or "replay" - the works of the Musée d'Orsay. recasting the issues they had encountered together. Various moments in the project were filmed by director Claire Ananos, giving rise to the documentary film recasting.

Chatô

After the films Fables misapiand ruines / or how to make the invisible visible Gaëlle Bourges, Julie Vuoso and Claire Ananos complete their fieldwork in Château-Thierry with a third opus, Chatô.

For this new film, Gaëlle Bourges focused on the links between Castrothéodoricien.ne.s and the remains of the town's medieval castle. The film crew sought to bring together the different relationships to the history of this ancient building, through encounters on and around the site - with the person in charge of maintaining the park, the falconers in the eagle show, a musician whose house overlooks the castle's parapet walk, two archaeologists, etc. - and to find out more about the castrothéodoricien.ne.s' relationship to the remains of the medieval castle.

The jigsaw of encounters on the hilltop is Claire Ananos' 3rd film.

Fables misapi

The movie Fables misapi deals with the relationship between the inhabitants of Château-Thierry and a 17th century man, Jean de la Fontaine, a native of the town - today, even the traffic circles illustrate his famous animal stories.
What's left of these fables in the town, apart from the traffic circles? The question was a good opportunity to talk to the people we met in the market square, on the street, in the squares: improvised discussions in front of the camera, where a cluster of issues gradually emerges - from air pollution to migratory movements, from the difficulty of finding one's place to racism, from the fear of seeing "everything" change to the endemic lack of prospects for living well.
